The New York Times

The 1619 Project

Event Activation:

The New York Times co-sponsored an event in DC’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, The 1619 Project: A Symposium On Reframing History. With Neco’s boots on the ground all over the country, we were able to get our local installation team to survey the space, liaise on behalf of all parties involved, and provide details to best serve the event while remaining within the strict guidelines of the museum.

Our solution included impactfully large, nonpermanent signage and displays while being able to install and strike quickly and surgically.

Pillowcase fabric displays flanked the Oprah Winfrey Theater, during the symposium. The Heritage Hall outside the auditorium included silicone edge graphic (SEG) packages, skyscraper uprights, and step & repeats for photo opportunities.

Our capabilities don’t stop at large format signage. We provided all the information and credentials needed for guests in the form of programs, guest passes, and promotional postcards.

Digital direct prints on 1/2” gator board, skyscraper upright display systems.
